Our story

Our story

Our story begins in 1822 when a cloth manufacturer named John Holdsworth founded a worsted spinning mill in Halifax, England. Named Holdsworth, the company grew to become a leading manufacturer of transport textiles to bus, coach, and rail operators across the globe.

Our story

British Furtex Fabrics is acquired. A manufacturer of transport textiles, the company created fabrics for a number of prestigious operators and routes including British Rail, The Orient Express, and Transport for London, and was a valuable addition to the Camira Group, introducing a wealth of capabilities and expertise.
