100% textile-to-textile recycled polyester
Our very first post-consumer recycled polyester has evolved and been re-engineered to use 100% textile-to-textile (T2T) recycled waste. We have moved beyond post-consumer recycled plastic bottles and instead we’re treating textile waste as a precious resource to create new materials and support a circular economy.

The global textile waste crisis
The fashion industry is a major contributor to global textile waste, with millions of tonnes of fabric being sent to landfill each year, from over-production, garment offcuts and used clothing and workwear. This growing issue has an enormous environmental impact, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and the depletion of valuable resources.
Lucia T2T is now made from a blend of pre-consumer textile offcuts which are derived from garment manufacturing, as well as post-consumer clothing and workwear which has reached the end of its wearable life. This new generation textile is a fabric for today, helping to address the negative environmental and societal impacts associated with the disposal of clothes and textile scraps.

The past is crushed to create the future
Textile-to-textile recycling is the process of transforming fabric waste into new fibres, which can be made into new yarn and woven into new fabric. Lucia T2T is created through a process known as tertiary recycling where discarded textiles are first shredded and mechanically ‘crushed’ into smaller particles, before being further treated to remove any colourants and treatments. This creates a regenerated polymer equivalent to virgin-quality polyester with no colour constraints and meeting all commercial requirements.

Designed for modern spaces
With a non-lustrous appearance, Lucia T2T’s 31 colourways comprise core neutrals, accentuated with pops of bright and bold hues, softened with light and airy pastel tones.
Acoustically transparent, this fabric is ideal for panel applications, as well as curtains and drapery.
