Our extensive range of upholstery textiles combine comfort and performance, to meet a plethora of international technical standards to ensure they remain beautiful and safe for years to come.
Created for a wide range of furniture applications - including sofas, lounge seats, task chairs, conference seating, meeting chairs, stools, pods, scatter cushions and many more.
The majority of our fabrics are environmentally friendly, made from naturally occurring resources such as wool and bast fibres from plants, as well as post-consumer recycled plastic made from upcycled plastic bottles.
Plant-based fabrics
Our “bast fibre” fabrics, made from intimate blends of wool and plant fibre from renewable sources such as hemp and flax, are chemical-free and inherently flame-retardant, as well as fully biodegradable.
The ultimate in environmental upholstery textiles, we offer a wide selection of eco-conscious fabrics including Hemp, Main Line Flax, Main Line Twist, Silk, Craggan Flax and 24/7 Flax.
Performance fabrics
Camira’s performance fabrics provide extra defence in the most demanding end-use environments, so they are hygienic, stain-repellent, and bleach cleanable. They offer a quick wipe-down solution to provide extra protection against germs, dirt, spills, urine, vomit and other day-to-day unpredictable hazards.
We have the performance vinyl, Vita; the waterproof and breathable polyurethane Deca; and Halcyon and Intervene which are woven fabrics which benefit from our TriOnyx performance treatment.
Recycled polyester fabrics
Our SEAQUAL® fabrics, Quest and Oceanic, are woven from recycled plastic which is dredged from the ocean in the fight against marine plastic pollution. They bring a touch of the ocean’s natural beauty to upholstery applications and support both sea and beach clean-up operations in places like the River Nile estuary, in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
We also have a wide selection of post-consumer recycled polyester fabrics made from plastic bottles which are diverted from landfill: our best seller Xtreme is a popular and timeless crepe weave fabric; Urban provides a geometric lightly textured alternative; RePlay is inspired by sportswear, with a modern knit appearance in a woven construction; X2 is a melange effect crepe which includes our own polyester yarn waste which is used to create a circular recycled polyester fabric.
Our technical knit capability, Camira Knit, provides knit-to-fit, custom-knitted components in both SEAQUAL® and post-consumer recycled options.
