Panel fabrics

Our fabrics are truly versatile for lots of vertical applications where they can provide both a decorative and acoustic material finish.

We have a wide range of options which can be used on desk screens and privacy panels, for wrapped floor to ceiling wall panels, acoustic panelling, even for textile pinboard coverings. They can be used in offices, libraries, classrooms, lecture theatres, home cinema rooms, sound recording studios, conference rooms, cinemas, hotel corridors and many other areas too.

Made for a purpose

We have many fabrics which are designed exclusively for vertical applications, which are wider width at 170cm wide, giving improved fabric yields, and are lighter in weight compared to seating fabrics.

These fabrics don’t need to perform in terms of abrasion performance, so they’re not tested for Martindale cycle, nor are the tested to seating flammability standards, only vertical FR tests. Many of our 140cm wide seating fabrics can also be used vertically and may sometimes be “railroaded” (turned 90 degrees) to cover larger panels.

All fabrics are tested for colourfastness to light, to ensure they don’t fade in sunlight, as well as colourfastness to rubbing. Crucially, there is a raft of vertical flammability norms which we test for in global geographies, which typically examine the rate of flame spread across the fabric’s surface.

Made to be acoustically transparent

One of our most iconic vertical fabrics is Cara, a lightweight plain weave in a wide selection of popular colourways, made entirely from air-textured polypropylene which replicates the look and feel of natural fibres.

This is the go-to acoustic fabric which is a popular choice in gaming rooms, home cinemas and specialist sound studios, even used as loudspeaker covers, providing a truly acoustically transparent fabric covering, allowing sound to pass through seamlessly into the substrate behind.

Celtic-inspired Carlow, its panel partner, echoes the calm, gentle landscape of rural Ireland, providing the same properties in a vibrant textile tableau.

Made sustainably

If you’re looking for environmental fabrics, then you’re in the right place for post-consumer recycled polyesters or premium natural fibres such as wool and wool blends.

Era 170 and Lucia are recycled options in a wide range of colours, with Era 170 providing a modern aesthetic with its mini-herringbone pattern, whereas Lucia offers a modern crepe weave which has had enduring appeal for decades.

Blazer Lite is made from 100% pure new wool in a luxurious felted finish, in a mix of solid and mélange shades, while Main Line Flax and Main Line Twist mix wool and flax in subtle, softer tones or stronger colours for more impact.

Made for versatility

Many of our 140cm wide fabrics are multi-purpose, meaning they can be used both vertically on panels and horizontally on seating. And some of our fabrics have both a wide width version at 170cm, designed exclusively for panels, and an upholstery equivalent in 140cm version. This makes it super easy for direct colour matching across applications.
