Transport for NSW’s Northern Beaches B-Line is a new turn-up-and-go bus service between the Northern Beaches and Sydney CBD, with services every five minutes at peak times in the peak direction and every
10 minutes at other times of the day. The service utilises a fleet of 38 double deck buses with seating
and standing room for up to 100 customers.

The B-Line brand identity draws on the aesthetics of the beaches, and more broadly on Sydney itself. The fabric design was created by Transport for NSW’s Brand and Creative Services team, then translated by Camira into a face to face woven wool moquette, with careful attention to placement of the pattern repeat to eliminate waste and make upholstering easier.

Sunny yellow and turquoise

"Sunny yellow and turquoise form the overall colour palette, with dots on the upholstery fabric used as a graphic device to communicate ‘connections’ between people and places. Overall, the design of the brand and how it’s applied to livery and fabric support a positive, agile new service that reflects the character of the area."
