Purpose of the Role

To play a key role within the manufacture of our sustainable fabrics. The role of a Production Operative is crucial for ensuring that our fabric pieces are accurately and efficiently prepared for assembly, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall beauty of our products.

 

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Ability to locate/identify the correct pieces of fabric for scheduling
  • Operate Detwisting machine
  • Proficiency with numeracy and English to operate the electronic dye dispenser and programs for the dyeing equipment
  • Following Procedures on Worksheets for different fabric qualities
  • Assisting in general duties in the factory (multiskilling)
  • Keeping the machine in a clean and safe condition
  • Reporting any faults or inconsistencies to management
  • Adhering to health and safety policies and safe systems of work

 

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of running dyeing equipment would be an advantage
  • Good hand eye co-ordination
  • Be able to follow instructions
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Good organisation skills
