Purpose of the Role
To play a key role in the Management accounts team helping the leadership and stakeholders fully understand the gross margin drivers and effectively feeding this information back to drive better performance.
The day to day
- To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts including monthly manufacturing cost centre reports and variance analysis.
- Providing insight into manufacturing performance to the Operations Director and Head of Commercial Finance.
- Presenting figures at the monthly manufacturing review meetings
- To fully integrate within operations, partnering on projects and decision making.
- Calculating standard costs
- Support the annual budget process, submitting operations forecasts.
- Support the continued improvement of the accounting system, Sage X3, to ensure accurate cost recognition across the business.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Other Considerations
- Part qualified in a relevant discipline (CIMA or ACCA)
- Prior experience of working in manufacturing or FMCG
- Use of standard absorption costing and/or Activity-Based Costing (ABC) highly desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Excel & systems skills
- This role will be based at Meltham Mills manufacturing facility with regular travel to Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Mirfield.
- Occasional travel may be required within the UK and overseas.
- A full clean driving license and a passport required.
