Who are we?

A multi-award-winning textile manufacturer with two centuries of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability, Camira designs and manufactures environmental fabrics for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors.

Purpose

To manage and grow the Camira Hospitality category in the UK and Ireland. Working closely with the Director of UK Sales, the role will identify, build and implement a growth strategy to develop market share in this category.

Responsibilities

·         Build, develop and implement a targeted growth plan in hospitality.

·         Deliver against annual budgeted revenues within the hospitality marketplace.

·         Identify major projects for specification and collaborate with the major hospitality and cruise ship interiors A&D practices to drive Camira fabric specification.

·         Specification to sales conversion and capture the data through reporting tools.

·         Build, develop and maintain strategic relationships with key hotel and cruise ship interiors specifiers, procurement companies and furniture manufacturers.

·         Establish the Camira brand as the key sustainable fabrics supply partner for A&D in hotels and cruise ship interiors.

·         Plan and attend events and trade shows to ensure maximum exposure and networking opportunities with a wide group of hospitality customers.

·         Report on market insights and trends to strengthen cross functional knowledge and intelligence gathering.

·         Work proactively with the design, product development and compliance teams to drive NPD for the category.

·         Remain commercially aware of the UK contract hospitality interiors market to inform business strategy.

·         Work collaboratively with the design, marketing and IT teams to create a pull demand strategy for our products and services.

·         Work in partnership with the customer service team to facilitate the delivery and coordination of key projects.

·        Recruit, train, develop and mentor hospitality sales personnel, aligned to category and business strategic goals.

 

Essential Criteria

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

·         Interior design degree qualification or equivalent relevant experience.

·         Experience working on large hospitality projects.

·         A network following within hospitality.

·         Proven experience in generating interest in products & brands and turn this interest into long-term business relationships with the target-group.

·         Ability to carry out planning, budgeting, reporting and administration for the area of responsibility.

·         Confidence in chairing and leading meetings and presenting to large groups of people.

·         Passionate about design and interiors.

·         Passionate about sustainability.

·         Excellent analytical skills and a good assessment of business opportunities.

·         Strong reporting capability and information share.

·         CRM knowledge and experience.

Preferred Criteria

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience 

·         A sound knowledge and understanding of hospitality fabric applications including upholstery for beds and seating, curtains and drapes in both public and guestroom spaces.

·         Technical understanding of fabrics for hospitality use, ideally pan European.

·         A strong track record of specification to sales conversion.

·         Previous people management experience.

·         Evidence of CPD delivery.

Additional requirements

·         The role will be a hands-on client facing role.

·         The role will be home based with regular travel across the UK and Ireland to support key relationships at National level.

·         Clean driving license.

·         Attendance at networking event.

·         Occasional international travel to support global/ European hospitality projects.
